Our Story
It was in 1995 when Ty Global began selling unique affordable products at table top sales events in malls, hospitals and business offices across the greater Toronto area. In partnership with Innovage, a worldwide direct sales organization, Ty Global had access to a wide variety of products that were designed, developed, and manufactured by Innovage and their private sourcing team in Asia. This gave Ty Global the ability to provide customers with incredible value due to the massive buying and manufacturing power of its direct sales partner.
These exceptional products and pricing did not go unnoticed.
Before long, we were approached by many local retailers who had seen the incredible success of the table top events, and wanted to sell these value driven products in their stores. Recognizing the appeal and demand for our range of well-made, well-priced products, Ty Global began to focus exclusively on selling to retail channels, first locally, then regionally, then nationally. After a short time, we had built a dedicated customer base that excelled with our range of innovative products.
By this time Innovage had acquired nearly two decades of product development and manufacturing experience including a permanent presence in Asia to support their direct sales organization. Capitalizing on our partnership, we fully transitioned from a table top sales event company to a product design, development and sales organization, with a variety of house and licensed brands across several retail categories.
Today, our combined product sourcing group has grown to 5 permanent overseas offices with 500 full time employees, including a dedicated and experienced Quality Control team that personally audits factories and oversees production and compliance. This vertical integration of design/development, manufacturing and sales means we are able to strip away costly layers, offering our customers unsurpassed value while providing innovative product and packaging design, all backed by our quality guarantee.
By concentrating on designing and developing proprietary products and brands available exclusively through Ty Global in Canada, we have earned a nationwide reputation as a reliable and trustworthy supply partner. We are dedicated to creating products that combine great design, great packaging, consumer safety and affordability.
